Join us on April 14, 2019 for the 9th Annual For Pete's Sake, Walk! at Citizens Bank Park!

At For Pete’s Sake, Walk! we walk beside cancer survivors and their caregivers, and we honor those who have lost their battle with the disease. We share beautiful moments of hope and reflection, and create memories with our family and friends.

We celebrate relationships at For Pete’s Sake, Walk! Our relationships are what get us through our darkest days, and the struggles of a cancer diagnosis can bring us closer.

Enjoy a day filled with moments that will create memories! Kids and adults alike will love a visit from Philly’s favorite mascot – the Phanatic! Come early to enjoy face painting, music, coffee and other fun family moments. Our walk will take us around the Citizens Bank Concourse and onto the field where we will take a trip around the bases and smile for a keepsake photo in the dugout!

Together, we will transform lives by giving people a break from cancer and empowering them with emotional resources to cope and carry on. Take a break and walk with us, to help families take a break from cancer!

For Pete’s Sake, Walk! benefits For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. We address the psychosocial and emotional needs of the young adult cancer patient population and their loved ones. Working with oncology professionals at over 100 hospitals and cancer centers, we provide transformative respite experiences to cancer patients (ages 24-55), their caregivers and their children. We offer our families emotional support that assists them as their journey with cancer continues. Our program helps families recognize it is love, not cancer, that defines them.

NEW THIS YEAR! Leaders for Love is Greater Than Cancer is an extension of our FPS, Walk! outreach aimed at encouraging Philadelphia business leaders to be a part of our advocacy and advancement efforts as we encourage both walk participation and support at our annual walk at Citizens Bank Park on April 14, 2019. Each business leader is requested to raise a minimum of $2,500 in donations and/or team support for the Walk. With a theme of Families Facing Cancer Should Never Walk Alone, having the support of local Philadelphia business leaders not only raises support for our respite mission, it allows for rallying community encouragement for families facing cancer at this juncture. Thus, business leader support has three goals: raising funds, promoting advocacy and building community! We invite you to join the Leaders For Love is Greater Than Cancer initiative and help us change lives today, one smile at a time!
