Why I walk!

Why I walk.
The summer of 2016 changed my life forever. To be given a diagnosis of cancer is not one you expect to hear. It flips your world upside down in ways you never think of, what was once normal is not anymore. Dr.appointments, bloodwork, scans, tests, more Dr. appointments, and now... treatment. It takes a toll on you and those around you.
For Pete's Sake gave my family an opportunity that can never fully be repaid. We had the opportunity to go our respite to the amazing Wavus Campground in Maine. It was just beautiful. We had the oppurtunity to be a family and not worry about the Dr.appointment and everything else. you had time to relax and reflect. There were 10 families that traveled to Wavus and we had the opportunity to bond with each other and make life lasting friends that have become family. WIthout For Pete's Sake we would have not had that opportunity. Still to this day Jack, Rob, and I talk about that trip, the friends we made, and the experiences we had.
I believe in the mission of FPS and am walking to support adult cancer patients, caregivers and loved ones on April 26th at the 10th Annual For Pete's Sake, Walk! Philadelphia. Please join me! Busy on the 26th? Please consider making a donation to support me!
