Lining the Lemon

This summer we will be celebrating our 5 year "Cancerversary"! Although for a lot of people this milestone comes at a time when they are in full remission, I still have one tumor and continue on a daily chemotherapy pill. In an attempt to find the silver lining we will be hosting "Lining the Lemon" on Saturday, June 24th, 2017. Please celebrate this unbelievable milestone with us by helping us raise $3,000 to donate to the For Pete's Sake Take a Break from Cancer organization to send another family to Disney!
One year after being diagnosed with stage 4 Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor cancer, which is a medically incurable rare type of sarcoma cancer, my oncology team at Johns Hopkins nominated us for a respite vacation and two months after my surgery we were traipsing through Magic Kingdom, which was very magical indeed!
There is a lot to be thankful for and so many wonderful memories that we have as a result of generous people and organizations that helped our family get through such a devastating and challenging time in our lives. Our respite vacation was not something that we needed or had to have, however, the joy it brought into our lives during such a traumatic time and the sweet memories it left on our hearts with our precious three-year-old daughter is something we could never repay or put a dollar amount on. We will never forget the love that poured out of people's hearts and we feel so blessed to be able to be at this point in our lives. Please help us share that same love and gratefulness as we celebrate five more years of living life despite cancer.
Please join us as we celebrate our upcoming anniversary and make a donation to the For Pete's Sake Take a Break from Cancer organization in honor of "Lining the Lemon." We greatly appreciate your heart as you thoughtfullly consider making a contribution in any amount. Come out on June 24th to the Beaver Colonies Yard Sale, East Berlin, PA as soon as the sun rises for some fresh lemonade and handstamped jewelry all to benefit the For Pete's Sake Take a Break from Cancer organization. Just look for the yellow stand and signs indicating proceeds go to For Pete's Sake Take a Break from Cancer. Please share this link on facebook and with all your friends!
