You can walk ANYWHERE between May 1 - May 8th and help us reach our fundraising goals! Email Nikki@takeabreakfromcancer.org and she'll help you think of ideas for your own walk. It can be as simple as walking around your neighborhood, or as complex as forming a "mini walk" at a local location. Join us however you can! Together, we change lives.

Our March Travel Respites

Almost every month, 8-10 families embark on a healing journey through Travel Respite with FPS!

In March, Lisa, age 46 with uterine leiomyosarcomauterine, traveled to Woodloch Resort with her husband and their two daughters. Since her diagnosis, it's been hard for her family to slow down and enjoy each other's company. This respite gave them the opportunity to connect within their family AND to connect with other FPS families in similar situations.

Upon return from respite, Lisa and her husband, Norman, shared,

"We needed this break to reconnect and rejuvenate. This trip helped my family understand my cancer journey. We did things we have never done before, like skipping rocks on the lake and watching a comedy show. We shared experiences with other FPS families on respite and found out we are not alone."

This year's event has been the most successful yet and the Glanzmann team presented Marci Schankweiler, Founder & CEO of For Pete's Sake, with a $70,000 check at the grand opening of their new location in March! Thank you, Glanzmann Subaru, for changing lives with For Pete's Sake!
